A Texas hotshot carrier with its own fleet, its own dispatch, and a vetted network when a load needs more than we can roll ourselves.
OnPoint started the way most real trucking companies start. One driver. One truck. A phone that wouldn't stop ringing.
After years working in and around the freight industry, founder Paul Rogers saw the same problem playing out on load after load: shippers dealing with brokers who were dealing with carriers who were dealing with sub-carriers — and nobody with actual skin in the game when a load went sideways. He started OnPoint to cut out the chain.
Today OnPoint operates its own fleet of trucks out of Dallas, Texas, hauling freight across all 48 contiguous states and into Canada. The company holds both motor carrier and freight broker authority with the FMCSA — which means we dispatch our own units when we have them, and coordinate through a vetted carrier network when a load needs more capacity. Either way, the shipper deals with OnPoint. We deal with everything else.
The operating principle hasn't changed since day one: answer the phone, tell the truth about what we can do and what it costs, and get the freight there when we said we would.
OnPoint is owner-operated. When something matters on your load, you reach the person who owns the company — not a call center reading from a script.
Paul Rogers founded OnPoint after spending years in the freight industry watching shippers get let down by carriers who outsourced accountability. He started with one truck and a direct line, and built OnPoint around a simple standard: pick up when you say you will, deliver when you promised, and answer the phone every time someone calls.
He still runs day-to-day operations out of Dallas — quoting loads, managing dispatch, and staying close enough to the freight that nothing falls through the cracks on his watch.
OnPoint runs with 20-plus drivers and operations staff out of Texas. When you call OnPoint, you reach the people who dispatch the trucks and manage your load directly — no outsourced call center, no corporate front door, no ticket queue.
Every driver in our fleet is vetted, insured, and managed by us. When you get a driver's number, it's a person who knows your load and is accountable to your delivery window.
Work With UsThese aren't mission statement words. They're the things we actually get judged on every time a load moves.
We carry. We dispatch the network. Either way, OnPoint is the contact, the quote, the tracking update, and the delivery confirmation. If something goes sideways, you call us — not a partner you've never met, not a broker hiding behind email. Us. We own it.
Every load gets treated as time-sensitive until we hear otherwise. Dispatch is staffed 24/7 because freight emergencies don't schedule themselves. When the call comes in at 11pm on a Saturday, we answer, we quote, and we mobilize.
If a sprinter van won't cut it and you need a flatbed, we say so. If we can't cover a lane, we say so. If a timeline isn't realistic, we say so. We'd rather lose a job than burn a relationship.
OnPoint is a registered motor carrier and licensed freight broker with the FMCSA. Every unit in the fleet and the vetted carrier network operates under proper authority with active insurance.
These numbers are public record. You can verify OnPoint's operating status, safety history, and authority type at any time through the FMCSA SAFER system.
Certificates of insurance are available same-day on request for shippers, brokers, and facilities that require proof of coverage before pickup or delivery.
Verify on FMCSA SAFERWhen the load has to land, we're always OnPoint.
